Rightside Routing

This Privacy Policy describes how Rightside Routing (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Rightside Routing mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
Rightside Routing is a routing utility that records street addresses on the right side of the road while you travel, and lets you save, review, replay, print, and share those routes. It is not a turn-by-turn navigation app.

Precise location
If you grant permission, the App reads GPS coordinates, heading, speed, and accuracy from your device. Location is used while a live drive is recording and while Guide is open. Guide also records your path in the background for Replay and re-routing. A paused drive or Guide uses light GPS until you resume, and an open map uses location to show where you are. If you grant Always, location can continue for that drive or Guide run while the screen is locked or the App is in the background, so houses still log. Hard-closing the App stops recording. We do not track you when no drive, Guide, or map is open.
Your path and recordings are stored on your device. To find streets and house numbers, the App sends coordinates, or the map area around you, to the address and map services in section 4, usually through our server. A whole route leaves your device only when you share or export it.
Camera (optional)
If you use Lift to import an address list, the App reads camera frames on the device to extract street addresses. Those frames are processed on the phone. We do not upload Lift photos to our servers.
Motion / compass (optional)
If you grant motion permission, the App may use device heading to tell forward travel from reverse. This stays on the device.
